An orthogonal space-time block code (OSTBC) concatenated with Cyclic code modulation as a channel coding, for information transmission over a multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) channel with 2 transmit antennas and 1 receive antenna, and three transmit antennas with a 3/4 code rate have evaluated in this paper and compared with the system without channel coding. Increasing the code rate from 1/2 to 3/4 improves the system performance by approximately (14 dB), because of using two diversity techniques, time and space by using OSTBC with 3 transmit antenna and 2 receive antenna. Exact BER results for different transmit diversity considering BPSK modulated signals for arbitrary fading figure are validated by SIMULINK MATLAB simulations.
