One of the new techniques used to turn a surface into a dynamic video display is 3D mapping which is also called “Urban Projection Mapping”. Since companies are constantly searching for new means of publicizing their images and take over their competitors; 3D mapping provides them the opportunity to communicate with audience effectively. As we know, 3D Projection Mapping can change the building face without causing any damage, and by using sustainable energy, such as solar, we will be able to prevent energy wasting.
The purpose of this study is therefore to better understanding of 3D mapping toward visual rehabilitation of façade in historical buildings with an environmental approach, in addition to rehabilitation and representation the identity and sustainable architecture of traditional buildings.
