The contribution is based on two brilliant, high–profiled politicians: Hillary Clinton and Valentine Matvienko. The research covers the speech behavior as well as communicative strategies of these political figures. It primarily sets out which techniques are applied by Clinton and Matvienko on diverse levels, particularly lexical, phonetic and syntactic. Another pivotal issue which should be tackled is why these politicians obtain such techniques, what is their real goal. Moreover the performance goes into the cultural discrepancies which can influence politicians’ speech.
