This research is part of the PhD in Higher Education Leadership Program at the University of Guadalajara in Jalisco, Mexico. Given the global nature of ICT and their influence in today’s society, it is important that institutions of higher education develop a coherent and even transforming Curriculum Leadership stemming from contemporary society needs. The study refers to Curriculum Leadership for the integration of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in undergraduate studies at the Social Sciences and Humanities (CUCSH) campus at the University of Guadalajara. Therefore, this research is based on the analysis of four dimensions as follows: (a) socio–anthropological; b) pedagogical; c) political; and d) leadership. These four dimensions pretends to establish how ICT are integrated in academic life of students and Teachers at this campus mentioned above (teaching–learning processes), and how this integration enriches the curriculum process by giving sense and meaning to educational practices in degree studies at CUCSH. In addition, this research will analyze the diverse relationships that can be established between all dimensions mentioned above. Curriculum Leadership is the framework for the better integration of the ICT, taking into account that in this integration it is compulsory to deeply consider the cultural, social, political and administrative dimensions. Therefore, it is within these dimensions that a qualitative analysis based on in–depth phenomenological interviews will be done in this study. Consequently, this research looks to identify beyond the traditional institutional rhetoric the educational basis where a learning–teaching process through the use of ICT can be coherent with the needs of teachers and students.
