The goal of our research is to find and emphasize the main similarity, difference and significance of fairy things in the tale, based on several Georgian and Italian fairy tales. The business of collecting tales began in the beginning of the XIX century in Georgia, and the record of Italian folk tales began in the 50s of the XX century (Italo Calvino). We took several of Italo Calvino’s works for comparison: “The Clever Peasant Girl” and “The Tale of the Knight’s Ladies”, and the Georgian folk tales “The Knight and the Peasant Girl” and “The Tale of a Farm Lady”. They turned out to be extremely interesting from the point of view of comparison.
Thus, the study of the Georgian-Italian fairytales showed the similarity of the theme and motive, though it is difficult to speak about the influence. The above-mentioned tales were created independently in their countries, but, at the same time, they carry international signs.
