In this paper, efforts were made to examine how the Nigerian youths could be mentored for effective career management in order to bring about sustainable development. Primarily, the work sought to investigate the processes of youth training in the form of mentoring and it’s implication on the talent management among Nigerian youths. The survey research design was used in the study. Two hundred youths were selected from the 36 states of Nigeria including Abuja. Data were collected from the respondents through the use of questionnaire. The data were analyzed using the descriptive and inferential statistics. It was discovered that the talent flow that creates and maintains the required talent pool is lacking among most Nigerian youths. And this has been hampering the required effective career management among the youths. Based on this, it was recommended that mentoring should be encouraged in all the levels of Nigerian learning institutions; primary, secondary and tertiary.
