This study aimed to describe the language attitudes shown by the Jakarta’s officials to the policy of DKI Jakarta’s Governor (AHOK) on dismissal/ demotion to become staff seen from (1) Conative aspects, (2) affective aspects, (3) cognitive aspects, and (4) factors that cause propensity that language attitudes. The subjects were officials from the offices in Jakarta consisting of 250 officials were demoted, 250 officials were on promotion and 250 officials who are not in the demotion and not in promotion or officials who still survive in their positions.
Collecting the data using the method of observation, compa pseudonym, questionnaires, and interviews. Analysis of observation data and interviews conducted through three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions/ verification. Compa pseudonym data analysis and questionnaires generally go through four stages, namely the classification, conversion, frequency counting, and determining the underlying sentiment officials languages of the DKI Jakarta.
The results showed that language attitudes of DKI Jakarta Officials are against the policy of Jakarta’s Governor (AHOK) seen from (1) conative aspect are in negative categories, (2) the affective aspects is in the category of positive, and (3) the cognitive aspects located in the category of neutral. (4) The factors that led to the tendency of language attitudes are internal and external factors. Based on these findings, we can conclude that DKI Jakarta officials tend to have language attitudes that are triangle towards the policy of the DKI Jakarta’s Governor, which is caused by internal and external factors.
