The Oregon University System, of which Lane Community College is the only Community College participant, offers its students a practical work abroad opportunity, different from the traditional study abroad programs, via its IE3 Global Internships Program. The students, who are guided from beginning to end in the application process, can transfer their Financial Aid packet to this program. They have an impressive array of choices in over 80 countries on all continents and of extremely varied tasks in the full scope of professional activities. Lane Community College’s Coop Ed Department facilitates this process by special accreditation, which enables the applicant to stay registered as a student on the home campus without paying for tuition while working abroad for a term or more.
