Vocational higher schools are one of the most important schools in terms of our future. These schools are founded in order to meet the needs of qualified intermediate staff for developing and changing needs in fields of agriculture, trade, industry, service, informatics and so forth, and to extend social development. Vocational higher schools both prevent the accumulation of undergraduate programmes and increase the opportunity of education by meeting the demands of higher schools. In developed countries, the proportion of graduation from vocational higher schools is about 50% but in our developing country, this proportion is 20%. Especially in the last years, the serious capacity of investment in various sectors will increase employment area. This study aims to evaluate the attendants’ expectations of employment after graduation, their views about whether they reach their aims after graduation or not and the suitability of education for work life. For this aim, the study of questionnaire is applied to 80 attendances from the Department of Computer Programming in Selcuk University Higher School of Vocational and Technical Sciences. Attendances are chosen randomly from the first and second grade students of this department. Attendances’ views obtained from the study are evaluated statistically and the results indicating employment expectations in the higher school are obtained.
