Everywhere one hears reproaches upon the drawbacks of secondary school education. To the author's view, this criticism is partly justified for the content of the currently studied matter, especially in the middle classes at school. The usual guideline for the choice of the school subjects prevailingly is the orientation towards the leading sciences which are taken as prototypes for the most of the school subjects. This approach is followed not only in the senior classes where it is justified, but also in the middle classes where it seems to be superfluous.
