The research objectives were to explore the emotional intelligence and social intelligence through free plays, and to evaluate the degrees of teachers’ awareness concerning the changing culture that effect the free plays of the children in the lower north of Thailand. The research methodology was qualitative and quantitative, interviewed children with parents, and teachers. The findings survey of the emotional intelligence and social intelligence of children in provincial areas, as considered from their free plays in the child care centers or kindergartens, at home, and in general, has been strongly influenced by western culture and new technology. The most of teachers had strong awareness about the changing culture that affects free plays of young children.
