The study assesed the use of Radio for disseminating agricultural information among farmers in Ofu Local Government Area of Kogi State, Nigeria. Data were obtained through well structured questionnaire which were administered to 110 farmers. Descriptive statistics (frequency distribution and percentages) and inferential statistics ( chi – square) were used to analyze the data obtained. The results revealed that 57% of the farmers were males while 41% were females and most (41%) of them were in their economically active age (30 – 40 years). Majority( 86%) of the farmres stated that the radio Agricultural programmes were relevant to their agricultural information needs. There were knowledge gains by farmers especially as fertilizer application (62%). The chi square value was significan t(χ2 = 4.440, p>0.03) related to the knowledge gains of farmers. To a very large extend, the programmes had the desired impact on the farmers. They should, therefore, be sustained and improved upon. However, government should provide constant rural electric power and radio booster stations to enhance the agricultural information needs of the farmers in the study area.
