The aim of this article is to discuss the implications of digital transformation on the Master of Science degree in Management Information Systems intended for management students. We review different digital transformation technologies required by the market that need to be considered in MIS postgraduate programs. Then we provide a review of digital technology and management modules within the current structure of selected MIS programs. The major goal of this approach is to reflect upon the readiness of related programs to the challenges of digital transformation. A review of the 161 universities for MIS programs within the top ten countries of the Academic Ranking for World Universities 2015 (ARWU) has shown that only very few universities have MIS programs. It reveals that Australia offers the highest percentage rate while Germany contributes the lowest percentage rate. However, the United States and Switzerland act as the frontrunner countries having the highest digital transformation readiness score.
