Georgia has achieved significant success in the fields of social and economic development. The country irreversibly embarked on the course of Euro-Atlantic values, strengthening security and stability. Free business environment was formed, effective social programs were implemented, the official level of unemployment decreased. Nevertheless, many unresolved problems have accumulated. The main thing is the small economy and low level of labor force’s qualification. The employment structure shows that in the total number of employed people, the share of self-employed is higher in comparison with the advanced countries, labor productivity is low, the poverty level rate is high and the middle class is comparatively small. After changing the unemployment method the level of unemployment will increase significantly in Georgia.
The analysis shows that a significant part of active and able-bodied population of Georgia went abroad legally or illegally to find a job. The number of those who want to emigrate is characterized by growing tendency. Labor force not only goes out from the country but people who want to get jobs come to Georgia. Therefore, it is important that active and able-bodied people be involved in the spheres of the effective use of country’s resources. In order to increase the effectiveness of the use of active and passive methods of employment, the main focus should be shifted to the universal access to finances. Attraction of investments will be facilitated by the formation of logistical regional center in Georgia, development of infrastructure, introduction of high-tech achievements of the world, opening of the branches of advanced brands and the creation of the educational system based on modern digital technologies.
