The adoption of green information technology (Green IT) is an environmentally sustainable initiative that is still at the stage of infancy. The pace of Green IT implementation varies across developed and developing countries and similar state of affairs is visible across firms of varying sizes. Based on literature survey, this paper looks into the perspectives of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) towards the factors that drive firms’ commitment towards Green IT adoption and their consequences. At the end of the paper a conceptual model is proposed to be tested in future research.
