The purpose of this study was to explore the effectiveness of environmental protection education in university by experimental method. This study used Hsiuping University of Science and Technology in Taiwan as a case, conducted a survey to HUST students before and after the environmental protection activity to collect students’ responses, and compare the students of experimental group to the students of control group. The Results showed that before the activity, there was no significant difference between the two groups in environmental protection attitude and behavior. However, the students of experimental group in environmental protection attitude and behavior, after attending the activity, had significant higher score than before. Results also showed that the students of experimental group had significant higher score than the students of control group in environmental protection knowledge. The study proposed some suggestions on using environmental protection activity to promote the effectiveness of environmental protection education in university.
